Nigerian Sex Trafficking Victims

This was a very interesting article to read - it's hard to imagine that victims of sex trafficking return home to find suspicion and very little support after what they've been through.  In addition, the girls who are sent over swear a magical oath before going that they would repay those who brought them to a different country - even if they must prostitute themselves to do so.  Once they return home, if they return without having followed through on that oath, they fear being killed from the spell that bound them to repay the traffickers.  It's nice to know there are people who can release them from this fear, as you can read in the article.

  1. The entire situation these women find themselves in sound complicated. They are tricked into going abroad without knowing what will happen and end up been deported back to their land the same way they left. I guess the desperation for money and the lack of jobs in their country of origin push them to take whatever measures they can to survive. But what about the unscrupulous people who convince these poor ladies? They should be made responsible somehow.
