Four Religions Find Common Interest

I don't know if most of you have noticed, but I'm not really big on talking about politics.  So it was really quite annoying to visit the suggested websites to get articles form and see a whole lot of nothing but politics. But I saw a light in the darkness and here it is:

Multiple religions come together with one common goal in mind and it isn't destruction of each other! It's in support of animals who are victims of poaching, specifically elephants who are poached for their ivory.

I was so, so happy to read this article! With all the news about Islamic extremism and Christian churches being destroyed, this gives me hope that maybe religious people can begin to focus on more important issues than who's better than the other.  What do you guys think?  Is this a sign of hope? And do you think this sort of gathering can aid in the prevention of poaching?

Click here to read more about what they are doing in Kenya to stop poaching by creating awareness and initiating prayers among multiple religions.

  1. I think this is great that everyone is coming together for one common goal. I am happy to see that they are trying to save the elephants, using them for ivory i think is horrible. yes i think this is hope, i know many dont agree with religious activists but this is for a good cause.

  2. It nice to finally see something like this happening. Saving wildlife in Africa from poaching is definatly and important issue and impacts all of these various religious groups. Because it effects everyone, I think it is able to bring together all these groups. They more people together, the more of an impact they can make.
